Texas Tech Reportedly Wants Brent Venables If It Fires Kliff Kingsbury

One reporter thinks the Kingsbury era could be coming to an end.Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman reported Thursday that he’ll be “very surprised” if Kingsbury keeps his job after this season. Bohls also claims to know who the program will look to if it decides to make a change.Bohls says the Red Raiders would “look seriously” at Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables.Venables is one of the top-paid assistant coaches in the country. He’s been with the Tigers since 2012, coming over from Oklahoma.I’ll be very surprised if Kliff Kingsbury survives this season at Texas Tech.
