The Huskers had Michigan, followed by tough Purdue, Wisconsin, and Northwestern teams, all of which are vying to win the Big Ten West.Things are starting to get rolling now, though. Frost’s club has won two straight, blowing out Minnesota and FCS club Bethune-Cookman. Now, the Huskers head to Ohio State.Back when the trip to Ann Arbor rolled around, Frost admits that he doesn’t know if his team truly believes it could win. Now, ahead of a trip to Columbus, he thinks that there is far more belief in his locker room.Scott Frost discussed the change in the Nebraska football team’s mindset between mid-September and now. From the Omaha World-Herald:“When we went up to Ann Arbor, I’m not sure the team thought they could win,” Frost said following Thursday’s practice. “I think they wanted to, but I’m not sure deep down if some of the guys thought they could win. I think we have a team that’s going up there thinking we got a chance if we play well. That’s a big change in improvement.”Former Buckeyes quarterback Kirk Herbstreit buys into Nebraska being much improved. He thinks Ohio State’s somewhat shaky defense will “have its hands full” with the Huskers’ offense.Ohio State is an 18.5-point favorite in the game at most online sportsbooks, after opening at -22.5, according to OddsShark.[Omaha World-Herald]last_img
