(Photo by Streeter Lecka/Getty Images)With South Carolina and Georgia preparing for an absolute showdown this Saturday, college football fans will have the opportunity to get their first taste of real SEC football in 2018. Although the Gamecocks are clearly underdogs for this upcoming matchup, they gave perfect bulletin board material to the Bulldogs this week.Facing another ranked opponent provides enough motivation in itself, but South Carolina star Deebo Samuel decided to pour gasoline on the fire with his latest comments. When asked about his potential clash with Georgia cornerback Deandre Baker, Samuel decided to reignite their rivalry.Instead of actually talking about his opponent, Samuel answered with a simple jab, saying “Who?”???? pic.twitter.com/SfhJedV7Zy— Bryce Dixon (@dixonbryce) September 5, 2018Samuel’s production on the field certainly allows him to trash talk, as the talented wideout opened the season with seven receptions for 56 receiving yards and a touchdown. Nonetheless, it’s extremely hard to ignore his competition across the field in Baker. The All-SEC cornerback passed up on the chance to enter the NFL after his junior season, which means he’s determined to finish strong at Georgia. At this point in the year, Baker is projected to be an early first-round selection. If he wasn’t already prepared to shutdown Samuel on Saturday, then this latest dig will certainly have him ready for action.Deebo Samuels when asked about Deandre Baker:“Who?”South Carolina has It coming. Ask every team that trash talked Georgia last year.Keep talking.— blakejmorgan (@blakejmorgann) September 5, 2018Georgia and South Carolina will feature tons of premier talent, but none will standout more than Samuel and Baker.last_img read more
