THE WALL STREET JOURNALEU MINISTERS, PARLIAMENT TO NEGOTIATE BUDGET INCREASEEuropean budget ministers will meet representatives from the European Parliament in Brussels on Thursday to try and reach an agreement on next year’s EU budget. The council, which comprises budget ministers from the bloc’s 27 member states, wants the budget to increase by no more than 2.91 per cent from this year’s level of €122.9bn, while Parliament wants a 6.2 per cent rise. SWITZERLAND TIGHTENS BANK CAPITAL RULES The Swiss government is asking banks to set aside more capital as a cushion against losses on their trading books, a move that will affect UBS AG and Credit Suisse more than smaller institutions. W88 adds Leicester City to sponsorship portfolio

first_img Regions: UK & Ireland Online gaming company W88 has agreed a partnership with English Premier League football club Leicester City. W88 will serve as the team’s official betting partner for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. The company will be able to use the club’s brand in its marketing activities, as well as work with Leicester players to develop various content. The deal, brokered by the Lagardère Sports agency, will also give W88 branding exposure on pitch-side LED advertising screens inside the team’s stadium. A W88 spokesperson said: “We are confident that our partnership with Leicester City will allow us to bring football fans and customers in Asia closer to the club, and we look forward to engaging with them to build lasting relationships.” The deal comes after W88 earlier this month also announced a partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers, which won promotion to the Premier League last season.
